{My start up eye shadow kit- M.A.C Red Brick & Embark}

~I am slowly discovering the world of makeup… possibly because of watching all the awesomeness of YouTube… Speaking of YouTube,  have you watched the latest episode of our makeover show Takeover Makeover? Anyway. I have never been big on eyeshadows, but lipstick is a totally different conversation! So now, I present to you my one and only eyeshadow palette…. I know it’s nothing to write home about, but I like the simplicity this palette offers to my skin tone and not to mention the unbelievable pigmentation. It is just pure perfection! I think I’m finally ready to take the plunge and add more colours to my collection.~

*Purchased from M.A.C store in Village Market.

{Currently reading: Ghana Must Go by Taiye Selasi and We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda N. Adichie}

~I am just so stoked by African literature. It’s that feeling of nostalgia when you can really relate to a character or a situation even if the story is based in a different part of Africa. It feels so great to discover more and more authors who tell the African story in their own unique way!~

*Purchased from Text Book Centre.

{Moleskine Stationery}

~I am a sucker for good stationery. Like I can mindlessly walk in a bookshop looking for specific pens and notebooks. Yes, I am that person. I discovered the Moleskine brand purely by accident when I was in Yaya Centre. I had been on the hunt for a good planner that I can easily travel with and all I could find were those bulky ones you see at the beginning of every year. So when I was introduced to the Moleskine planner, I simply loved it and even went back to buy some notebooks.~

*Purchased from Books First, Yaya Centre.

{Power breakfast}

~I am currently trying to switch up my diet and so far, this oat breakfast with yummy-iness on top (raisins, apples, caramelised apples with cinnamon, banana’s and pumpkin seeds) seems to be doing a pretty darn good job. It keeps me quite full in the morning and I end up eating better quantities during the day!~

Hope you enjoyed the post! Have a prosperous month!
